Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) role involves providing support in a traditional Electrophysiology office, assisting with wound checks for devices, consulting on device options, and functioning as a device nurse for pacer checks. Daily tasks include performing EKGs, obtaining vital signs, manual BP checks, and assisting with wound care and dressing changes. Location:Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, United States Responsibilities: - Assist with wound checks for devices.

- Consult on options for devices.
- Function as a device nurse for pacer checks.
- Perform EKGs.
- Obtain vital signs.
- Perform manual BP checks.
- Assist with wound care.
- Assist with dressing changes.
- Set up and assist with procedures.
- Collect specimens, including wound specimens.
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately. Required Skills & Certifications: - BLS certification
- CMA certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Experience in an adult outpatient clinic setting
- Cardiology experience
- Ability to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Ability to obtain vital signs
- Wound care skills
- Dressing change skills
- Electrophysiology skills
- Manual BP skills Preferred Skills & Certifications: - None specified Special Considerations: - RTO after booking is not allowed.
- Call offs or additional RTO on the unit may result in cancellation.
- Must bring/have a stethoscope. Scheduling:
- 40 hours per week may be offered.
- 8-hour day shifts: 08:00 - 16:30.
- No call requirement.
- No float requirement.
