Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic job at Highline Public Schools. Burien, WA. SUMMARY**: The person in this position maintains, repairs, rebuilds, diagnoses, corrects malfunctions and assembles automotive equipment. He/she does minor body work and painting. This employee will perform roadside automotive repairs, welding, burning and brazing as necessary and performs other duties of this position as directed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following. This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. Some incumbents may not perform all the duties listed while in other cases related duties may also be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Completely maintain, repair, rebuild, diagnose, correct malfunctions and assemble automotive equipment. Determine usefulness of work parts. Maintain related records. Do minor body work and painting. Perform roadside automotive repair. Perform welding, burning and brazing as necessary. Work from drawings, wiring diagrams, oral and written instructions. Keep garage clean and in orderly condition.
