Clinical DirectorFacility Overview – View Behavioral Health Child, Colton View Behavioral Health (VBH) Child, is a behavioral health campus providing acute psychiatric care and crisis stabilization services. Our Child & Adolescent program offers a safe, structured environment focused on stabilization, evidence-based treatment, and family-centered care. As we expand, the campus will include adult services, supporting a full continuum of care for the communities we serve.Position SummaryThe Clinical Director is responsible for the overall clinical leadership, program development, and quality of patient care services within the Child & Adolescent psychiatric facility. This role ensures the delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed care while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. The Clinical Director oversees all clinical programming and supervises multidisciplinary treatment teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical oversight of all treatment services, including individual, group, and family therapySupervise and support licensed clinicians, social services staff, and program leadsEnsure adherence to evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and age-appropriate interventionsOversee treatment planning, documentation quality, and clinical outcomesPartner with Medical Director and Nursing leadership to ensure integrated patient careDevelop and implement new programs and service lines as the facility growsEnsure compliance with DHCS, Joint Commission, and applicable state and federal regulationsMonitor key performance indicators including LOS, readmissions, and patient outcomesLead clinical audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement initiativesParticipate in hiring, training, and ongoing development of clinical staffMinimum QualificationsMaster's degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or related fieldActive California licensure (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist)Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in leadershipExperience in child and adolescent mental health requiredStrong knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standardsDemonstrated sound professional judgment; clinical judgment where applicable to licensure/role.Proficiency in the use of computers and standard keyboard functions for data entry and electronic documentation.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.Current CPR, BLS, and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employmentDemonstrate understanding and compliance with Patients' Rights, LPS Statutes, and Seclusion and Restraint Protocols.Special ConditionsEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of Live Scan fingerprinting, background check clearance, and verification of required licenses, certifications, and educationSatisfactory completion of professional reference checksMust be legally authorized to work in the United States; Ocean View does not provide visa sponsorship for certain roles unless otherwise specifiedCompliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), The Joint Commission, and HIPAA standardsCompliance with all required health screenings and immunizations in accordance with regulatory guidelines and facility policy, which may include tuberculosis (TB) testing, N95 fit testing, annual trainings, and proof of vaccination for certain communicable diseasesAvailability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or variable shifts as needed, based on operational or patient care needs
