As a Brazer, you will be responsible for assembling and brazing components to precise specifications, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. You will handle tasks such as gathering component parts, operating brazing torches, and collaborating with team members to maintain safety and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Gather component parts such as fins, casings, and hairpins for assembly.
• Assemble and braze components according to drawings and work orders.
• Retrieve coils from the WIP lane and place them on tables using overhead lifts.
• Push tables to the brazing area for further assembly.
• Assemble return bends, headers, and distributors on coils as per drawings.
• Braze components to coils using SRC specifications and drawing information.
• Utilize brazing torches for material brazing.
• Collaborate with other employees to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery.
• Identify and tag unsafe equipment.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness to 5S standards.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in brazing techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs unassisted.
• Capability to stand for long periods and frequently stoop or bend.
• Able to sit for extended periods.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand stability.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Basic math understanding.

• Receptive to constructive criticism.

Work Environment

The facility is very clean and climate-controlled, with a welding shop in the back and a modern cafeteria. Employees work from approximately 3pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to supervise second shift as needed. A daily meeting at 2:30pm provides updates and information to second shift team members.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Chesterfield, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
