Senior Tax Accountant

A well-established firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to support the continued growth of its tax practice. The firm provides comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to a diverse client base that includes privately held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and growing organizations across multiple industries. This positionwill play a key role in delivering tax services, managing client engagements, and supporting the development of junior tax staff. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive tax services in compliance with applicable laws and regulations Build strong client relationships by understanding business operations and providing clear communication throughout engagements Prepare and review complex income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations Identify and mitigate potential tax risks while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations Support tax planning initiatives and assist with developing strategic tax solutions for clients Implement best practices to improve internal processes and enhance efficiency across engagements Mentor and assist in training junior tax staff to support their professional development Coordinate and assist with tax audits as needed Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and quality service Utilize strong project management, analytical, and communication skills to support engagement success Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in public accounting or a related tax role Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and preparation of various tax return types Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office applications Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Exceptional client service and relationship-building abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work product Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Master’s in Taxation preferred CPA license preferred or currently in progress This is a strong opportunity for a tax professional seeking continued growth within a collaborative public accounting environment that values technical development, client relationships, and long-term career progression.
