Purpose To care for and teach young children in a child care environment. Responsible for providing a variety of functions in care giving and teaching in a child care learning environment. No Sponsorship Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship. Responsibilities Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Supervise and care for children in the 3-5 year age range both indoors and outdoors. Communicate daily with parents. Supervise assistant. Required Qualifications High school graduation or GED. One year of experience working with young children in a licensed child care center. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Hands on experience leading 0-5 year olds. Formal training in a child related field. Previous experience working in an accredited center. Previous lead teacher experience teaching pre-k. Stable work history. Bilingual a plus. Salary Range $50,000 Working Conditions May work around standard office conditions. Use of manual dexterity. Climbing of stairs. Lifting and moving. Sitting on floor with children Exposure to various bodily fluids. Working indoors and outdoors. Lifting up to 30 lbs.
