Come experience the rewards of working in end-of-life care!/ppThe Community Hospice has a wonderful opportunity for a per diem RN to work as part of our team caring for patients and families in local nursing homes./ppAvailability needed for this per diem position would be during the week (Mon-Fri). Hours generally needed are 8a-4:30p. No weekends needed at this time./ppPosition Highlights:/pulliNational pre-taxed mileage reimbursement/liliMeetings and charting conducted via supplied lap top/liliComprehensive orientation provided/li/ulpWhat you will do:/pulliAs an RN you will case manage patients in the Nursing home setting and respond to symptom management needs of our Hospice patients and coordinate with our team to provide added support to residents and families./liliPer diem needs would be days would be during the week (Monday to Friday) and hours would be 8 am to 4:30 pm./li/ulpWhat you will need:/pulliA current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York/liliAssociates Degree in Nursing, BSN preferred/liliThe RN must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and written/lili1 year experience as an RN required, preferably in long term care./liliPrevious Hospice experience preferred but not required./liliValid Drivers License and Reliable vehicle/liliHigh level of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians, and coworkers/li/ulpCommunity Hospice provides a thorough orientation, preceptors and a supportive work environment./ppApply today for more information. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
