Finance Intern

Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Internship in our Columbia, MO facility. This on-site position requires the ideal candidate to be located in the general area. This will be a part -time position for the 2027 Spring Semester with the opportunity to extend through the summer. No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance will be provided for this role. Financial Analysis & Reporting Assist in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and budget analyses. Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities. Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Assist in developing presentations and reporting materials for management. Budgeting & Cost Management Support budget planning and tracking processes. Assist in monitoring departmental spending and cost performance. Help maintain financial models and forecasting tools. Participate in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives. Finance Administration Maintain financial records and ensure data accuracy. Assist with invoice processing, purchase orders, and account reconciliations. Support the preparation of financial documentation and audits. Help maintain financial systems and databases under supervision. Business Partnership & Operations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives. Public Assist with special projects related to operational and financial performance. Participate in meetings to gain exposure to business planning and decision-making processes. Provide analytical support for key business initiatives. This position may be a great fit for you if you: Are currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Are able to handle sensitive financial information with professionalism and confidentiality. Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD $23 to $27.50 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
