Senior Data EngineerGenesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a long-term contract position with a Leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager located in Eagan, MN. Compensation: $79.00 - $82.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications. Position Overview: This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing scalable data integration and transformation solutions within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with ETL development, GCP data engineering services, Kafka, and SQL, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced delivery environment to support a critical client implementation initiative.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting enterprise data integration and client implementation initiativesBuild and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and movement processes across multiple applications and platformsDesign, develop, and maintain cloud-based data engineering solutions leveraging GCP technologies (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage)Develop and support Kafka-based data integration and streaming solutionsPartner with business stakeholders, technical leads, and engineering teams to understand data integration requirementsTranslate business requirements into actionable technical specifications and data engineering solutionsTroubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance issues, and integration challengesEnsure data quality, accuracy, consistency, and reliability throughout integration processesPrimary Requirements:7+ years of professional experience in data engineering, ETL development, or related data integration disciplinesStrong hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise ETL/ELT pipelinesDemonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native data engineering solutions, specifically BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Cloud StorageStrong experience with Apache Kafka, including streaming, messaging, or event-driven data integrationAdvanced SQL skills, including complex queries, data transformations, and performance optimizationExperience working with complex data flows across multiple enterprise applicationsAbility to independently manage technical assignments and deliver results under compressed timelinesExcellent communication skills and experience collaborating with technical and nontechnical stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experienceDesired Skills:Python development experience for data processing, automation, or pipeline developmentGoogle Cloud Professional Data Engineer certificationExperience with healthcare, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), or claims processing data environmentsFamiliarity with large-scale client implementations and enterprise application integrationsExperience with both batch and real-time data processing architecturesKubernetes experienceJava experienceIf you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
