Machinist

Machinist (Apprentice) - Hartsville, SC. Pay: $27.40/hr. Swing shift: 1st (6am-2pm) and 2nd (2pm-10pm). Standard hours 8 hrs per shift. OT may be required. Sign‑on bonus: $2,000 paid in two installments: $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days. Responsibilities and Requirements Minimum 5 years experience with manual lathes, mills, and grinders. Thorough knowledge of machine shop equipment. Working knowledge of CNC equipment and prior experience in assembly or fabrication using blueprints. Proficiency in reading standard and metric blueprints, GD&T. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and holidays. Maintain safe operation by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to partner shifts. Flexibility to move from one machine or job assignment to another as workload shifts. Preferred Skills Experience operating and programming an NC mill. Proficient in G‑code or conversational programming. Knowledge of setup, fixture creation, speeds, feeds for various materials and tooling. Basic math, geometry, and measurement skills using micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, scales, tape measure. Programming software experience (Esprit, MasterCam, etc.).
