Kitchen Assistant
2nd Chance Staffing
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Kitchen Assistant to support our non-profit organization's food service operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a kitchen and have knowledge of food safety practices. Responsibilities Assist the head chef with food preparation and cooking. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils. Follow proper food handling and safety procedures. Organize and stock inventory. Wash dishes, pots, and pans. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment. Assist with kitchen and dining room cleanup. Assist with food service during meal times. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of previous kitchen experience. Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
