Cable And Harness Technician
Our company is looking for a Cable and Harness Technician to support our Gilbert Manufacturing Center. As a member of the Harness Manufacturing department, you'll get to embark on a career putting innovative, reliable, and agile products and ideas into orbit and beyond. This position will serve on-site at our Gilbert, AZ Campus. This is a 2nd Shift Position. Working Hours are 3:00pm – 12:30am on a 9/80 schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Manufacture cable / harness products.
- Reads and interprets work instructions, schematics, wirelists, and drawings.
- Ensures hardware quality is maintained and company procedures are followed.
- Ensures work is completed with completeness and accuracy, in adherence to operation sheets, ISO procedures, schedules, and assigned tasks.
- Provides regular communication to shop leads and Work Center management on status and technical issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED plus a minimum of 5 additional years of education and/or relevant experience in assembly, electronics, manufacturing, production or logistics.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical assembly and wiring.
- Must be capable of successfully completing certification to IPC WHMA-A-620 (Cable and Wire Harness Assembly) and NASA-J-STD.
- Experience reading drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Exceptional mechanical/electrical aptitude.
- ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) and Crimping Experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate from Technical Trade School
- Current certification to IPC WHMA-A-620, NASA-J-STD; or other certifications in electronics assembly and workmanship.
- Experience with MES applications including workflow, signoff and documentation.
