Shop ForemanThe Shop Foreman is responsible for ensuring that the daily operations of the shop flows according to schedule. Responsible for ensuring that all shop employees know how to perform their functions, they have the tools to do their jobs, and that they understand and follow all safety protocols. Frac valve knowledge on both the small bore and large bore 10K/15K.In this role, you will:Coach, review, and supervise assigned employeesMake suggestions that are given a certain weight regarding the employment status of assigned employeesBe responsible for the assembly of componentsSchedule, assign, and plan the work of personnelMonitor the purchase and use of materialsPlan and develop work schedule for equipment usage, expenditures, and procedures for equipment maintenance in the supervisor's departmentTrain and inform employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety regulations, and work policiesMonitor assigned personnel to ensure they follow company and department policies and enforces safety regulations also adhere to proper codes and standardsBe able to perform all the duties of the Employees in their departmentAlways observe and practice company safety proceduresOther duties may be assignedRequired and preferred abilities:Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and proceduresKnowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the machining or repair of API 6A componentsExhibit management skillsWrite routine reports and correspondenceSpeak effectively before groups of customers and employees of organizationCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, fractions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsMinimal computer skills in Word, Excel, and OutlookProperly maintain equipmentInterpret engineering drawings and specifications of components, assemblies, finished products for conformance of all requirementsDetermine the correct equipment and tools needed to do a job correctlyWork environment and physical requirements:Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearPossess the ability to operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and toolsLift materials and products up to 30 pounds (SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs., they shall utilize mechanical assistance devices.
