Corporate Safety Program Specialist [JK-15011]

A leading MEP contractor is seeking a Safety Program Specialist to support enterprise-wide safety initiatives across the organization. This role focuses on strengthening high-risk safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance. This person will play a key role in shaping standards, partnering cross-functionally, and reducing operational risk. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both corporate safety program development and hands-on collaboration with field teams.

The Role:

• Act as the subject matter expert for specialized, high-risk safety areas such as fall protection, electrical safety, LOTO, confined space and other critical risk programs
• Design, refine, and manage safety policies, procedures, and training resources across the organization
• Evaluate regulatory changes and translate requirements into actionable business practices
• Lead program audits, assessments, and gap analyses to strengthen compliance and effectiveness
• Partner with internal teams to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable improvements
• Work in partnership with the Safety Director to develop strategic initiatives that improve safety performance and operational excellence

The Candidate:

• A minimum of 5-7 years proven experience working in the construction industry. Mechanical/HVAC experience desired
• Demonstrated expertise in developing corporate safety programs, standards and training materials. Applying OSHA and DOT requirements in a corporate setting
• Bachelor Degree in occupational safety or related discipline
• CHST or similar BCSP certification
• A strong verbal and written communication skills. And possesses the ability to engage with key internal and external stakeholders alike
• Lives locally in the LA area and happy travelling to the Pasadena office daily
