Cardiovascular Thoracic and Transplant Surgery Physician Assistant

Our Client is an independent contracting/professional association of 15+ advanced practice providers servicing Cardiovascular, Thoracic and Transplant Surgery for North Texas surgeons and hospitals. We are currently working with more than 25 surgeons in local hospitals assisting more than 300 surgical procedures monthly. We are experiencing continued growth in the Dallas / Fort Worth area with new hospital and physician contracts, and have the need for additional Surgical Physician Assistants who want the rewards of working hard while managing your own independent "work-style" and be compensated for all the actual cases you are the Assistant-at-Surgery. Our experienced PA's are consistently earning $150K plus annually. With a minimum of one year of experience in cardiovascular surgery. Role Description First Assisting Adult Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic and Heart, Kidney, Liver Transplant procedures. Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting of Saphenous Vein and Radial artery (Getinge System) Assisting DaVinci Robotic procedures Congenital Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery First-assisting (Acuity: low to very high complex procedures) Qualifications Approximately 2 Years experience in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) and Cardiac Surgery Current certification and licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas Board-certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with RNFA Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant School Demonstrates a passion for making a positive difference in patient care Entrepreneurial spirit Ability to obtain hospital privileges Requirements First Assisting on Cardiac Procedures: 1 year minimum Endoscopic Vessel Harvesting: Minimum 100 documented cases with the Getinge HemoPro System.
