Senior Full Stack Java Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer for a 10+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ.

This position supports a strategic initiative to modernize a Market Linked Investments trading platform across Equity, Currency, Commodity, and Rates Linked Notes. Sitting within Wealth Management Trading Technology, the role focuses on building scalable, resilient platforms using innovative technologies to support growing business demands. The ideal candidate is an experienced, driven developer who thrives in complex, high-performance trading environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver complex end-to-end solutions using full-stack technologies including React/Angular, Node.js, and Java
• Develop and integrate J2EE technologies and frameworks, including Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), JDBC, JMS, and SOAP/RESTful APIs
• Implement microservices architectures with exposure to cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Participate in and influence architecture and future design decisions
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of business-critical applications through performance tuning and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participating in code and design reviews to deliver high-quality, reusable code
• Translate high-level business and architectural requirements into detailed technical tasks
• Produce and maintain high-level and component-level design documentation
• Work effectively within Agile/Scrum teams to ensure timely and high-quality software delivery

Requirements:

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience as a Software Developer specializing in J2EE technologies
• Proven full-stack development experience using React/Angular, Node.js, Java, and relational databases
• Solid understanding of Message-Oriented Middleware (Kafka, JMS, MQ) and event-driven architectures
• Strong expertise in application logging, caching, transaction management, multi-threading, and concurrency
• Experience with MS SQL Server
• Comfortable working across both front-end and back-end technologies
• Must be a full-stack developer capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Desired skills:

• Exposure to Wealth Management Domain with knowledge of Fixed Income trading flows
• Exposure to Global Markets / Investment Banking Domain

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26 per hour
