Surgical Technologist CVOR

Location: Reston, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 06:45-15:15

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit. The Surgical Technologist will play a vital role in supporting surgical teams during procedures. This position requires excellent teamwork, proactive problem-solving skills, and a focus on patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in scrub and circulate procedures in the CVOR unit.
• Prepare operating rooms by setting up necessary equipment and ensuring proper inventory of disposables and instrument sets.
• Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to room turnover and setup for subsequent procedures efficiently.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Preferred CNOR certification.
• Experience with advanced skills including central line setup, arterial line setup, and operation of Belmont and cell saver equipment.
