Risk PMO / Project Manager

Location: New York, NY (Onsite Preferred– Can consider Hybrid) Duration: 7-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Pay Rate: $66-70/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Risk PMO / Project Manager to support enterprise Risk Governance and Regulatory initiatives within a leading financial services organization.

This role is ideal for someone with strong project coordination and PMO experience who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and has exposure to Risk, Compliance, Governance, or Regulatory programs. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive key initiatives, coordinate stakeholders, monitor deliverables, and ensure projects remain on track.

This is an execution-focused PMO role supporting enterprise risk initiatives—not an IT implementation project management position.

Responsibilities

• Provide PMO support for enterprise Risk Governance, Regulatory, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and action trackers.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams while ensuring deliverables remain on schedule.
• Prepare weekly project status reports, executive updates, and governance reporting.
• Coordinate meetings, agendas, action items, and follow-ups with senior stakeholders.
• Support Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) activities.
• Assist with regulatory projects, governance processes, approvals, and cross-functional coordination.
• Identify project risks, issues, and blockers, escalating where appropriate.
• Partner with teams across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance, and Technology.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of PMO, Project Coordination, or Project Management experience.
• Experience supporting Risk, Compliance, Governance, Regulatory, or Financial Services initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, documentation, and reporting abilities.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) programs.
• Experience with Operational Risk, Enterprise Risk, Risk Governance, or Regulatory Reporting.
• Background within Banking, Insurance, Asset Management, or Financial Services.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar Project Management certification (preferred, not required).
• Exposure to tools such as Airtable is a plus.
