Job Summary The Data Manager is a part-time role that serves as the primary point of coordination, management, reporting, and systems support for the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI) SuccessConnect program. You will support student success initiatives by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, accessibility, and use of program data that informs operations, data flow, assessment, and planning. The Data Manager works with program staff, ITS administrators, and the Senior Research and Evaluation Strategist. The Data Manager supports data collection processes, reports, and tracking systems. The Data Manager conducts the use of Salesforce/CRM and database platforms. The Data Manager assists staff in identifying data needs that enhance program implementation, student engagement, and continuous improvement. You will promote communication between program operations, data coordination, and data systems, helping translate operational needs into efficient processes that improve workflow, communication, and program outcomes. This position is a 20 hour a week 6-month term limited position. Responsibilities Data Management & Systems Administration (35%) Serve as the primary administrator and resource for Salesforce and other program data systems. Manage student recruitment, registration, participation, enrollment, and engagement tracking processes. Maintain data systems that support coach-to-student matching, tutoring participation, and program communications. Support staff in using data systems to improve workflow, scheduling, communication, and student engagement. Ensure data quality by reviewing program documentation and maintaining accurate records. Data Management & Reporting (25%) Manage program data across multiple systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, accessibility, and compliance. Develop recurring and ad hoc reports to support operations, assessment, and strategic decision-making. Extract, and analyze data from multiple sources to support planning, evaluation, and reporting. Monitor data quality, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements. Maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, and reporting schedules. Program Support & Assessment (25%) Partner with program staff to identify data needs and develop reporting solutions that support program implementation and continuous improvement. Create dashboards, tracking tools, and reports to support program planning, assessment, and evaluation. Prepare data and reports for institutional and external reporting requirements. Recommend enhancements to data collection, reporting processes, and operational workflows. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement (15%) Collaborate with program staff and campus partners to improve data collection, reporting, and information-sharing processes. Provide guidance on data entry standards, reporting practices, and system use. Participate in planning initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and special projects that support student success and promote the mission of OAMI. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of professional experience in data management, database administration, reporting, business intelligence, or data analysis. Experience collecting, validating, managing, reporting data across multiple systems, while maintaining data accuracy, and integrity. Proficiency with: Salesforce CRM Microsoft Excel (can perform complex functions) Databases and data warehouse systems Reporting tools such as Business Objects or similar platforms Why Work at Michigan?
