Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (12-Hour Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every-Other Weekend Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit serving adult populations including post-surgical, stroke, oncology, CHF, COPD, respiratory, GI, and orthopedic (total joint) patients
• Perform and manage clinical skills including chest tubes, tracheostomies, PICC/midlines/central lines, Foley catheters, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, and telemetry monitoring
• Float as needed across designated units including 2EW, 2NW, 3EW, 3NW, 5th floor, and the ED for Medical Surgical holds
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR
• May occasionally assist with total care assignments; pediatric patients may be assigned to nurses with applicable experience

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Must pass telemetry exam during compliance process
• Proficiency in general Medical Surgical skills (chest tubes, trachs, central lines, foleys, NG tubes, dressing changes, wound vacs, ostomies, telemetry)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred
• Psychiatric nursing experience preferred
