Plant Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in plant leadership, process improvement, employee development, and manufacturing performance.

This position will oversee all aspects of facility operations, including production, safety, quality, financial performance, and continuous improvement, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plant Operations: Lead daily manufacturing activities, optimize production processes, manage resources, and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Safety & Quality: Champion a safety-first culture while ensuring compliance with EH&S regulations, ISO standards, and quality requirements.
  • Leadership Development: Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and employees while fostering accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and eliminate waste.
  • Performance Management: Establish and monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
  • Financial Management: Oversee plant budgets, operating expenses, capital planning, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Strategic Growth: Support capacity expansion, manufacturing readiness, and operational improvements to meet evolving business demands.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and corporate leadership to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience managing plant operations, production teams, and manufacturing performance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Significant knowledge of EH&S requirements and manufacturing quality standards.
  • Experience with budgeting, cost management, and capital planning.
  • Strong leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with highly engineered or complex industrial manufacturing environments preferred.
