Clarendale of Addison is a Senior Living Community in Addison, IL. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assistance in maintaining aspects of the physical plant. Conducting, under supervisor direction, preventive maintenance, routine servicing, seasonal repairs and changes, building equipment and plumbing repairs; maintains safe working environment and assists other department employees as needed. Full-time 8:30 am- 5:00 pm, one weekend day is required. Starting wage is $17.50 per hour. Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Employee assistance program * Flexible schedule * Health insurance * Life insurance * Paid time off * Referral program * Vision insurance ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Perform general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs. * Receive service requests and response in a timely manner. * Perform painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor. * Perform routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor. * Perform minor building and equipment repairs. * Complete all work in the order of priority set by supervisor. * Assist, during winter, with snow removal efforts as necessary. * Maintain cleanliness of fountains, pumping and filtration system, where appropriate. Perform maintenance on irrigation system (valves, timers and nozzles) * Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition. * WHEN QUALIFIED, assist the Director of Plant Operations and/or perform work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators. * Maintain exterior and interior of all buildings. * Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.
