Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job Description:Parsons is seeking a skilled Trajectory Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorates. In this role, you will provide critical engineering expertise to the team responsible for performing pre-mission trajectory validation and performance analysis for the for the flight test events along with onsite expertise during flight events.What You'll Be Doing:Support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures (TC) program office with development of ballistic missile target vehiclesSupport the TC System Engineering team in all aspects of target design, analysis, and test to include requirements development and assessment, modeling and simulation, test analysis and reportingTechnical focus areas include modeling and simulation, trajectory development and analysis, coordinate system transformations, and vehicle performance assessmentsGenerate and analyze target vehicle 6DOF trajectory dataSupport mission planning, analysis, and reporting activitiesCollaborate with a dynamic team of experts in multiple technical areas to develop analysis and engineering toolsEngage in database requirements definition, schema development, interface development, testing, data management, and documentationUtilize knowledge, skills and experience with missile characteristics (physical, kinematics, signatures) and engineering to support engineering activities and data product developmentWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:Active DoD Secret security clearance, which requires US CitizenshipBachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialtyNOTE: Newly-hired Master's degree graduates are typically hired into this level.2+ years of related professional experienceProficiency with MATLAB, Python, Java, C#, and other programming languagesStrong oral and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)What Desired Skills You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in STEM with 3+ years of relevant experienceFamiliarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processesExperience with trajectory development tools (e.g., TAOS, POST)Experience in any or all of the following disciplines: Design, CAD, Trajectory, Radar Cross Section (RCS) Signatures, Optical SignaturesStrong attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform multiple tasksAbility to communicate detailed technical information to technical and non-technical personnelSecurity Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
