Security Alarm Technician - Electronic / Integrated Security

We are seeking a commercial Electronic Security Technician to join our federal team supporting a federal government customer site locally. Travel Required: Limited. Primary work is supporting a federal government customer locally. Responsibilities Conduct maintenance and service work of existing Electronic Security Systems (ESS) including access controls, intrusion detection, and camera systems. Specific systems include: Softwarehouse Ccure9000, Vindicator, FiberSensys, Protech Gfence, Lenel, and Bosch BVMS security software. Install security devices and infrastructure at times in accordance with installation plans, the National Electric Code, company and customer guidelines. Assist with security system programming and setup. Conduct testing to ensure proper operation of equipment after installation or repairs. Conduct testing of system to the signal‑receiving center to properly establish service. Coordinate installations with police/fire departments and manage necessary records for notification of emergency calls. Help prepare estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions from supervisor. Conduct end‑user training. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and clean up installation debris. Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Experience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting and/or repairing commercial or industrial integrated/electronic security systems for low‑voltage intrusion, access control, CCTV and digital recording systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships. Capable of using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment. Works well unsupervised and also as part of a team environment. Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearances for projects being supported (background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit checks). Active Department of Defense Secret (or higher) clearance preferred. Preferred Qualifications Technical proficiency with Vindicator, FiberSensys, Protech Gfence, Lenel, Bosch BVMS strongly preferred. Preferred Education Softwarehouse C-Cure 9000 Installer/Maintainer certification.
