Sr. Program Compliance Officer

Overview Senior Program Compliance Officer responsible for managing and monitoring a complex property portfolio and ensuring mortgagor/owner compliance with program, loan, and regulatory requirements imposed by Virginia Housing, HUD, IRS (including Section 42), and Exchange. Acts as a leader and technical expert within the regional team and to external partners on all matters related to Virginia Housing Rental‑Loan and Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit Housing programs. Performs comprehensive compliance audits, including physical inspections, and assists in the development of guidelines and process improvements for internal efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor a complex property portfolio. Ensure mortgagor/owner compliance with program, loan, and regulatory requirements. Serve as technical expert and leader within the regional team and to external partners. Conduct comprehensive compliance audits, including physical inspections. Assist in guideline development and process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Several years advanced level experience in the Property Management Industry and affordable housing properties or subsidy programs including IRS, LIHTC, and HUD. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Ability to inspect properties by navigating buildings, stairways, and grounds. Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail. Valid driver’s license. Industry certifications (HCCP, COS, AHM, TaCCs, C3P, SCHM) are desirable. Benefits & Requirements Salary range: $82,000 – $111,000. A background check and motor vehicle check are performed as a condition of employment.
