The CAD Designer assists in developing product design solutions by providing input, thoughts, and ideas, while closely collaborating with product engineers. The CAD designer also assists in rapid prototyping to turn ideas into solutions.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with idea and concept generation while working with a product development team2D drawing and 3D modeling to accurately reflect design ideas and changesUpdating product documentation according to red-line changesAssisting with rapid prototyping generally through 3D printing internally or externallyFollowing CAD standards and best practices while maintaining curiosity to identify and bring forward new ideasQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSMUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:2-Year Associate's Degree and 3+ years experience in related area of workProficient in 2D CAD modelingProficient in 3D CAD modeling and drawing detail creationStrong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to troubleshoot problems with other technical employees and expertsNICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in an engineering or research development environment3D printing experienceAutoCAD and Inventor experience5+ years experience in a related area of workDemonstrates effective communication skillsPAY RANGE:$62,960.00 - $94,440.00CULTURE AND BENEFITS:At Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
