Active - Exempt full-time Barberton, OH, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1086 Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $70,000.00 Annually Reports To: Plant Manager Summary: This position is responsible for providing direction for the shifts’ hourly employees in all associated manufacturing, material handling, compounding and maintenance tasks. Specific Duties: Specific duties are intended to describe activities that support the summary above. The list is not all inclusive – other duties may be required to cover the breadth and depth of the position. Perform training to employees. Maintain and update training matrix. Provide all necessary paperwork needed for the production lines. Audit all associated paperwork on each line making sure all paperwork is correct and accurate at the end of each shift. Schedule daily staffing for each line every day and forecast needed manning using the work center. Collaborate with other departments and managers on projects. Must help open and close the building as needed. Participate in the QIT (Quality Improvement Teams) process. Maintain training needs and records for training. Enforce all company rules with regard to the Union Contract (if applicable), Company Handbook, OSHA, safety and housekeeping. Ensure Best Manufacturing Practices are being utilized on the production floor. Help determine necessary qualifications for new hires and to help recruit potential employees who meet those qualifications, To understand and follow Malco’s Quality Policy and Quality Objectives. Education: Degree in Industrial Management, Engineering, Business Management or related / equivalent field; preferred. Degree could be waived based on previous experience. Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years served in responsible manufacturing supervisory positions. Will look at a combination of education and experience relating to supervising / managing employees in a manufacturing environment. Union experience is a plus.
