QC Microbiology Analyst I – Contract

Location: Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: 5/8 schedule – Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday
Available Shifts: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | 10:30 AM–7:30 PM
Pay:  $24-$30/hour , depending on experience
Weekend & holiday support may be required

We’re seeking a  QC Microbiology Analyst I to join a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organization in Winston-Salem, NC. This role will support routine microbiological testing and environmental monitoring within a  GMP-regulated manufacturing environment .

What You'll Do

• Perform routine  Environmental Monitoring (EM)of GMP-controlled areas
• Support personnel monitoring during manufacturing operations
• Perform microbiological testing including  bioburden, endotoxin, and sterility testing
• Perform enumeration, Gram staining, streaking, and isolation of recovered organisms
• Collect and test environmental and utility samples
• Follow SOPs, work instructions, protocols, and safety requirements
• Maintain accurate and timely GMP documentation
• Support SOP, work instruction, form, and protocol revisions
• Assist with laboratory equipment qualification and process improvement initiatives
• Maintain QC laboratory inventory and coordinate material requests
• Maintain high hygiene and aseptic practices required for GMP cleanroom operations
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and other Quality functions to support timely testing and reporting

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field is a plus
• 1–2 years of relevant microbiology experience
• Pharmaceutical or other  GMP-regulated laboratory experience strongly preferred
• Basic understanding of  cGMP requirements and cleanroom practices
• Experience with  Environmental Monitoring, bioburden, endotoxin, or sterility testing is highly desirable
• Familiarity with  LIMS is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform bending, lifting, and squatting as required
