Salary: $100,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols and services, including OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS, multicast, QoS, VRF, and stateless firewall filters.
• Expertise with current and anticipated network equipment, including commercial off-the-shelf 10 Gigabit Ethernet WAN equipment and associated software and hardware.
• Knowledge of wireless technologies; IPv6 transition alongside NIPR and SIPR; network operations, cyber defense, and situational awareness; DISN video teleconferencing over NIPR and SIPR; VoIP and DISA Switched Network initiatives; and digital streaming video.
• Active CCNP Enterprise certification.
• Secret clearance with IT-I eligibility; U.S. citizenship is required, and the posting also specifies an IT-1 Secret clearance.
• Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher certification, or ability to obtain it; CCSE certification is required within 60 days of starting.
• One of the following DoD 8570 Baseline IAT Level III certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or Associate, GCED, or GCIH.
• At least five years of progressive IT experience, including WAN deployment; Pulse Secure Remote Access VPN architecture deployment and Tier II/III troubleshooting; NIPR and SIPR WAN design and implementation; technology refreshes and upgrades; wireless technologies; IPv6 transition; Tier III network troubleshooting; full WAN lifecycle engineering; and analysis of hardware, configurations, security policies, network management, protocols, and security solutions supporting LAN, WAN, and DISN interoperability.

• Develop requirements and manage network engineering tasks from initiation through completion under general supervision.
• Develop specifications for straightforward to moderately complex problems.
• Coordinate with the Task Order Project Manager, COTRs, government representatives, and customers to deliver accurate technical solutions and support user satisfaction.
• Plan, conduct, and document laboratory assessments of hardware and software for classified and unclassified DISN services, verifying connectivity and operations among the DLA WAN, DLA NOC, and DISA NOCs.
• Work with the government customer to develop Technology Assessment Plans for WAN refreshes and upgrades, covering objectives, scope, equipment, configurations, approach, procedures, schedules, and responsibilities.
• Create and update network design drawings.
• Prepare After Action Reports documenting the approach, results, recommendations, and supporting rationale.
• Identify emerging network capabilities and develop criteria for evaluating and selecting products.
• Prepare formal recommendations for executive briefings.
• Ensure interoperability among NIPR, SIPR, and DISN equipment and services.
• Plan and track implementation activities.
• Create supporting artifacts, including network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operational readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance processes and procedures.
• Coordinate, plan, and implement technology refreshes and upgrades for NIPR systems and equipment.
• Identify and evaluate emerging standards relevant to NIPR, SIPR, and DLA and Department of Defense mandates.
