Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

This is a full time contingent position, 32-40 hours per week including every other weekend, and may require floating to other nearby locations. All Client positions are safety sensitive. License must be in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions. Screenshot of BLS. Expiration date must be no less than 30 days past the start date. Work schedules will be created in 6-week blocks following the 3 weeks of training/orientation. Depending on the needs of the clinic, you can expect a shift to be between 7-10 hours during clinic operating hours. A typical work week will be two or three weekdays and every other weekend. This position also requires working on some major holidays. Position Summary: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will utilize advanced clinical expertise to deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, administering treatments and medications, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and advocating for patients. Your critical thinking and clinical knowledge will help support improved patient outcomes and enhance healthcare delivery.

Duties: In this role you'll be an important member of the clinical team. You will: Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications. Evaluate complex patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses. Apply advanced knowledge of vital sign monitoring to identify and record abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature. Perform routine assessments to monitor patient health and ensure overall well-being. Manage patient access to healthcare and connect individuals with community resources for medication administration, self-care techniques, and disease management. Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects and drug interactions. Develop and administer mental health assessments to screen for depression and evaluate mood, behavior, and cognitive function. Accurately document patient medical historyincluding illnesses, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family historyusing electronic health records. Use your excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families and other healthcare professionals. Keep an organized, well stocked, clean clinic at all times.

Experience: Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room. Nurses whose experience is primarily in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, home health, LTACs, and skilled nursing facilities may encounter challenges adapting to the Client environment. DO NOT submit candidates whose background is limited to these areas. Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing. Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems; Epic experience preferred.

Education: The LPN/LVN must have a full, active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia.
