Registered Nurse Duties and Responsibilities Monitoring their condition and needs Carry out physician orders to administer medications and treatments Ensure the narcotic policies and procedures are followed Monitor for side effects and report any changes in the condition Oversee the CNAs to make sure that resident care plans are being followed Admit/discharge residents and associated assessments and paperwork Qualifications For a Registered Nurse (rn) RN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing Current CPR certification Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations Desire to work with the elderly and mentally ill Experience in mental health, medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
