Summary:

**Required Certifications:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) **License:** - RN License required for submission **Experience and Skills:** - Ability to titrate drips, including cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips - Must be able to read, interpret, and document monitor strips - Experience with trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress in adult patients - Experience with RT equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, troubleshooting, and management from nasal cannula to vent **Education:** - BSN is not required **Other Requirements:** - Pass/Fail exam (open book) during orientation with a required score of 90% to pass - Experience working in an ICU setting with a patient ratio of 1:2-3 **Shift and Scheduling:** - 12-hour shifts (0630-1830 or 1830-0630) - Self-scheduling for core staff; travelers are added in - Every other weekend required - Minimum of 2 holidays required during contract - Floating to PCU or MedSurg with a typical patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 **Radius Rule:** - Candidates must be located outside of 50 miles - Driver's license required at submission **Charting System:** - EPIC **Trauma Level:** - Level 2 **Care Setting:** - Acute **Fingernail Policy:** - Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care departments **Termination Conditions:** - Must pass the orientation exam with a 90% score - Refusal to remove artificial nails leads to termination of contract
