Community Engagement and Planning Intern - Summer 2027

This opportunity entails being under close supervision, assist departments by performing basic assignments in the areas including, but not limited to Science, Planning, Technology. This position is usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis. Environmental Planning tasks could include providing support for environmental permitting, wetland delineation, and construction monitoring assignments. Community Engagement tasks could include assisting with outreach efforts, staffing meetings, distributing flyers and content at in-person events, preparing reports, data entry, and other support tasks. Planning tasks could include production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. Our Boston, MA office is seeking an rotational intern opportunity within Community Engagement, Environmental Planning, and Transportation Planning for Summer 2027.

What You’ll Do: Assists project team members with various support tasks. Conducts basic research and data collection. Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects. Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports. Performs other duties assigned. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position based on all selected locations within the state at the time of posting.
