Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM 

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to provide front-office and back-office support in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient registration, scheduling, rooming, vital signs, phlebotomy, vaccinations, and other clinical duties.

The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare staff to ensure efficient daily operations, provide quality patient care, and maintain a positive patient experience. Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients, assist with check-in, and prepare them for appointments.

• Perform patient rooming and obtain medical histories.

• Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen saturation.

• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture procedures.

• Administer vaccines and provide clinical support as directed.

• Perform EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing.

• Schedule patient appointments and manage incoming phone calls.

• Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR).

• Support both front-office and back-office operations.

• Assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures and daily patient care.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.

• Follow established clinical protocols and infection control procedures.

• Educate patients on healthcare services and provide appropriate health-related information.

• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience, excluding externship.

• Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.

• Occupational health experience strongly preferred.

• Phlebotomy and venipuncture experience required.

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) required.

• BLS or CPR certification required.

• Strong front-office and back-office experience.

• Experience performing EKGs and point-of-care testing.

• Experience with patient scheduling, rooming, and vital signs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

• Interest in health education and patient outreach.
