Resident Services CoordinatorCome join our life-changing team building hope, resilience and well-being as a Resident Services Coordinator!Shift Details: FT – 40 hours/weekSchedule: 8:30am-5:00pmCompensation: $55,000 yearly salaryLocation: Nicollet Towers - 1350 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403About the job:Performs individual and group social service functions for VOAMN Nicollet Towers and family housing.Essentials:Provide advocacy, information and referral and case management to residents to enable them to live as independently as possible.Together with supervisor, evaluate and adjust services in the buildings as needed to ensure best outcomes for clients and residents.Outreach to individuals and groups within assigned buildings to ensure that residents and potential clients are aware of available services.Interpret and promote other VOA services and community programs to residents so that they are knowledgeable about resources available to them.Provide group services to residents to meet identified needs.Maintain case file documentation to ensure that professional standards of documentation are followed, and maintain client medical information, financial records and personal information in a confidential manner.Collaborate with other VOA services and community professionals to ensure that a wide network of resources is available for our clients.Participate in case review sessions on a regular basis to help guide and strengthen social service skills.Participate in training opportunities to maintain and improve professional social service skills.Assures client privacy is maintained by being knowledgeable and following HIPAA privacy and security regulations.Work as many hours as needed to complete the job.Use internal electronic health record and/or other electronic documentation systems to complete documentation as requiredAbility to respectfully interact with a wide variety of peopleAnalytical and problem-solving skillsLocal travel requiredSit, stand, walk, lift 25 pounds, do concentrated computer workJob Highlights:Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance403(b) Retirement PlanHSA & FSA ProgramsEmployer Paid Life Insurance & Long-Term DisabilityQuality training, continuing career education and leadership programsPaid Time Off (Vacation, Holiday & Sick Days)Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Human Services or related2-3 years of experience working in general social services or case managementPreferred Qualifications:Licensed Social WorkerExperience working with elderly or disabled clientsExperience providing social services to diverse populationsSomali language skills is a plusAbout Us:Nicollet Towers is part of Volunteers of America MN/WI which serves as an affiliate of the Volunteers of America parent organization.Volunteers of America Minnesota is a nonprofit health and human services organization that annually serves more than 25,000 children, adolescents and their families, older adults, students, persons with disabilities and special needs, and adults completing incarceration.
