Senior Re-recording Mixer, Blizzard Audio - Temp (SFD / Cinematics) Requisition ID: R027525 Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a re-recording mixer to work in the award-winning Cinematic Audio department. Responsibilities Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with the Cinematic Audio Director, Producers, Editors, and other stakeholders to bring characters, creatures, and environments to life in cinematics and trailers. Work closely with game designers to create an audio experience that complements online gameplay trailers, BlizzCon media, prerendered cinematics, in-game and real-time cutscenes. Create original content and successfully utilize ProTools and various mixing, mastering, and design plug-ins. Coordinate a hybrid work arrangement, including a home studio setup in Irvine, CA, and possible remote options. Serve as a 12‑month temporary position. Minimum Requirements Minimum 8 years’ experience in re-recording mixing and sound design for linear media in the film, games, trailers, or advertising fields. Experience designing and editing sound-to-picture. Experience with mixing in stereo and multichannel audio. Knowledge & Skills Proven people skills and a unique artistic voice in communicating and furthering a storyline via the medium of sound. Ability to forge and maintain positive client relationships and communicate effectively with Directors, Editors, contractors, Producers, and Supervisors. Thorough working knowledge of ProTools for audio post-production and mixing. Working knowledge of various video codecs and frame rates and their specific uses. Knowledge of signal flow, microphones, voice, Foley, and field recording. Key Attributes Able to work with equal effectiveness with a high degree of self-motivation, both solo and as part of a project team, and execute under tight deadlines. Extra Points Experience mixing in Dolby Atmos using the Atmos renderer. Experience developing games that use Wwise. Mixing on an Avid S6. Experience with live recording sessions both in the studio and in the field. Game audio design and/or mixing credits. Experience with Evercast, ClearView, or other high-quality remote collaboration tools.
