Employment commitment to Samaritan is required.This position will receive an hourly differential (additional compensation) in addition to the base hourly rate.Job Summary/PurposeAssists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient records and relaying test results.Department DescriptionSHS Orthopedic Surgeons offer specialized trauma care for a variety of fractures, casting, surgery, and splinting. We also offer joint replacement, foot and ankle care, carpal tunnel surgery, and injections as well as fracture care.Experience/Education/QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Registered or Certified Medical Assistant required.Healthcare Provider BLS required.Previous medical back office experience/medical assistant training, or completion of a Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant program preferred.Experience in applicable specialty area preferred.Lab/EKG experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPatient Care - Possess the skills and knowledge needed to assist and care for others.
