Salary: $118,506 - 118,506 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, plus four years of professional experience designing, developing, supporting, and optimizing business applications and SQL Server database environments, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Education may be equated to experience as follows: an associates degree equals two years, a bachelors degree equals four years, and a masters degree equals six years.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later and demonstrated proficiency in T-SQL programming.
• Extensive experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills, including the ability to handle critical incidents and resolve issues promptly with minimal supervision.
• Preferred: experience with C#/.NET, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell automation and scripting, Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms, and Power BI.
• Ability to work collaboratively, build professional relationships, provide responsive and respectful technical support, communicate technical concepts to users with differing levels of expertise, and handle confidential information with sound judgment and discretion.

• Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and support business and web applications, APIs, and system integrations.
• Analyze business and technical needs and translate them into secure, scalable, maintainable software and database solutions.
• Develop and enhance application features using approved tools, frameworks, coding standards, and best practices.
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and queries.
• Administer, monitor, maintain, and support Microsoft SQL Server environments to promote availability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, database, integration, reporting, and performance issues.
• Optimize queries, tune indexes, analyze execution plans, and monitor database performance.
• Manage database backups, restores, migrations, upgrades, patching, and recovery processes.
• Implement and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, including Always On Availability Groups.
• Develop and maintain data integrations, ETL processes, and automated jobs using SSIS, SQL Agent, PowerShell, or related technologies.
• Create, maintain, and support reports, dashboards, and data extracts using SSRS or other reporting tools.
• Support application and database security, including user access, roles, permissions, data protection, and compliance with institutional standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business users, vendors, and other stakeholders to identify needs, resolve issues, and improve system functionality.
• Participate in system planning, testing, deployment, change management, and production support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, system diagrams, database standards, procedures, and support materials.
• Research and recommend technologies, tools, and process improvements to enhance application and database services.
• Provide advanced technical support and respond to incidents, service requests, and system outages as needed.
• Follow software development lifecycle practices, source control procedures, testing standards, and IT security requirements.
• Contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment and support departmental and college initiatives through innovation, collaboration, and process improvement.
