We support refining, chemical, petrochemical, and midstream customers across the Texas Gulf Coast with shop overhaul, field service, inspection, and project management capabilities.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Pump Mechanic to join our shop team. The successful candidate will perform hands-on disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of industrial centrifugal, API, and positive displacement pumps, along with related rotating equipment components, in a fast-paced industrial repair environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDisassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble industrial pumps (centrifugal, API, multi-stage, vertical, and positive displacement)Measure and document critical clearances, fits, and dimensions using precision measuring toolsIdentify worn, damaged, or out-of-tolerance components (impellers, wear rings, shafts, bearings, seals) and recommend repair or replacementPerform bearing, mechanical seal, packing, and shaft-related work to manufacturer and shop standardsSupport field service work as needed, including on-site pump installation, alignment support, and troubleshootingFollow all safety procedures, quality processes, and documentation requirementsWork closely with Project Managers, shop leads, and QA/QC to ensure quality and schedule adherenceRequirements3+ years of hands-on experience with industrial pumps (shop or field)Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read drawings, manuals, and work scopesProficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, feeler gauges, etc.)Familiarity with mechanical seals, packing, bearings, and common pump failure modesAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a shop environmentValid driver's license and ability to pass background check / drug screenWillingness to support occasional field work and overtime as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience with Goulds, Worthington, Flowserve, Sulzer, IMO, or similar industrial pump brandsPrevious work in a rotating equipment repair shop or OEM service environmentFamiliarity with API pump standards and common refinery/chemical plant applicationsTWIC card or ability to obtain oneWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceHands-on work with a wide variety of industrial pumps and rotating equipmentOpportunity to grow with a specialized Gulf Coast repair shopSupportive team environment focused on quality and safetyInterested candidates should submit a resume to: View email address on click.appcast.io
