Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Traveler

Occupational Therapist opportunity in Visalia, CA for an experienced clinician looking to make a meaningful impact in an acute care setting. This is a 13-week contract.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for performing client evaluations, developing and providing occupational therapy services, and documenting services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each patient.

You'll work with patients with clear rehabilitation goals, including diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, polytrauma orthopedic injuries, burns, and spinal cord injuries. The environment is supportive, well-structured, and designed to allow therapists to focus on quality care with a manageable caseload.

Requirements

• Active California Occupational Therapist License

• BLS certification

• 5+ years of experience

• Inpatient experience strongly preferred

• Pediatric rehab, burn unit, or neuro experience highly valued

Minimum Requirements:

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school or program of Occupational Therapy

• One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
