Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This position involves providing specialized patient care in a 12-bed ICU setting. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment. The role is scheduled for night shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
• Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM 6:30 AM
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; 2+ years of ICU experience, ER and Med Surg experience required; Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene preferred; Fluency with MedHost electronic medical record system preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Traumatic Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
• Additional Information: No call required. Floating to Emergency Room and Medical Surgical departments is necessary, with specific floating procedures detailed in unit guidelines. Candidates must be registered with the state of New Mexico for fingerprinting process.
• Responsibilities include ventilator management, titratable drips, patient hygiene, and general ICU patient care. The nurse may assist with call lights, medication administration, patient transport, starting IVs, and blood draws when floating to ER and Med Surg.
