Details Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting within a Level I trauma teaching hospital Patient ratio of 1:2-3 Day/Night 3x12 hour shifts, alternating 0700-1930 or 1900-0730 Every other weekend required, some holidays, no call Floating required as needed Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in CVICU specialty Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required Epic EMR experience required, within past 12 months preferred Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Travel RN experience required Must pass telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation Additional Information Provide critical care nursing to post cardiac surgery patients including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and VAD management Skilled care includes arterial line management, central line care, IABP, Impella, and CVVHD/CRRT Manage ventilated patients including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and interpretation of ABGs Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips and manage continuous IV sedation and paralytics Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted Parking permit required if parking onsite, with alternative transportation options available Facility is a Magnet-designated, top-ranked teaching hospital and referral center American Traveler Job ID P-750418.
