Accounts Receivable Representative III

Job Summary Join our revenue cycle team as a Healthcare Payment Posting Specialist. You will process electronic and manual payments, resolve payment variances, reconcile unapplied funds, and ensure posting accuracy. Responsibilities Post manual and electronic payments (EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, 835s) accurately across dates of service. Allocate lump-sum payments and research payment variances and denials independently. Apply payer rules (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, Workers' Comp) and contractual adjustments. Reconcile data using Excel, lockbox files, payer portals, and EMR systems. Collaborate with billers and collectors to maintain revenue cycle integrity. Requirements 3–5 years of healthcare payment posting experience (manual & ERA/835). knowledge of EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, COB, and revenue cycle accounting principles. Proficiency in Excel, clearinghouses, and EMR/posting systems (e.g., Interactant, WellSky). math, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Rehab, home health, or residential setting experience preferred.
