Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An Interim Pharmacist In Charge opportunity is available for immediate start in Sacramento/El Dorado Hills, CA. This contract role spans approximately 8 to 13 weeks and involves managing daily pharmacy operations in a busy retail environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Sunday: Closed

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full cycle prescription processing and dispensing, including communication with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage and supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Perform pharmacy opening and closing duties.
• Fulfill all Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) responsibilities, including completion of required documentation and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• At least 2 years of recent retail pharmacy experience is required.
• Previous experience as a retail Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) is highly preferred.
• Valid California Pharmacy License in-hand.
• Immunization certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) card are mandatory.
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise (ERx) system.
