Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Schedule

Shift: Nights; 36- or 48-hour options. Weekend coverage required: Yes (6 weekends per contract).

Assignment Details

Daily census: 14; Beds/rooms: 15 beds / 14 rooms. Orientation: 24 hours.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
• State or Compact RN license must be current at time of submittal.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced).
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Patient ratio experience: Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3, Mother/Baby 1:3.
• Charting system: Epic.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor & delivery processes, including vaginal deliveries and C-section recoveries.
• Perform external and internal fetal monitoring (EFM/IUPC).
• Administer medications, including magnesium sulfate and oxytocin (Pitocin).
• Conduct assessments for newborns, including thermoregulation and phototherapy.
• Support breastfeeding and provide discharge education.

Compliance / Notes

All requested time off must be listed at time of submittal. Onboarding requirements must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
