Job Summary Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, the Branch Operations Associate is responsible for creating, opening, and processing new consumer and business member accounts, and cross‑selling credit union services to members. The role includes explaining product values and benefits, conducting high quality interviews using the AIDINC® process, operating the Opening Act (OA) system for membership and loan applications, and managing loan disbursements under guidance from senior branch staff. The Associate represents the credit union in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner, delivering prompt, efficient, and accurate service for all transactions. Essential Functions Open and process all types of consumer and business deposit accounts, including IRAs and CDs, using Opening Act and/or Symitar. Order, issue, and handle disputes for ATM and debit cards via Card Creation Wizard or View email address on click.appcast.io. Conduct quality interviews with members using the AIDINC® system to meet member needs through credit union products. Accept deposits and payments, perform withdrawals or loan advances, and verify transaction accuracy at the conclusion of member interactions. Maintain cash control, double count cash, and serve as a 2nd party in dual control procedures. Verify checks for deposit eligibility, proper endorsement, and compliance with Reg CC, utilizing True Checks as required. Provide account information (balances, transaction history, loan payoff details) to account owners only. Resolve member concerns, complaints, and discrepancies using available resources, KFCU computer systems, and Synapsys CRM. Complete quality consumer and business loan applications, route supporting documentation to Central Lending Decision Makers, and communicate outcomes to members. Disburse approved loans following guidelines and complete all paperwork for loan closing, ensuring collateral is properly secured. Serve as a concierge, guiding members through opening deposit accounts, loans, and other services using the AIDINC process. Exceed member service and sales goals for all credit union products, maintaining confidentiality of member information. Accurately interpret the Fair Credit Reporting Act as it applies to credit union loans. Complete all required training with an acceptable grade and actively participate in training classes. Make outbound calls for marketing campaigns (e.g., auto loan refinance, new member onboarding) and utilize TMA skills to open new products. Maintain proficiency in Symitar, CO Synergy, Synapsys CRM, Outlook, Microsoft Office, and Opening Act. Ensure compliance with all Federal regulations, including BSA, OFAC, the Red Flag Program, and Reg CC. Use the Member Advantage AIDINC® system to identify potential member service needs and support sales or referrals as appropriate. Provide merchant referrals directly to merchants for business accounts. Other Duties and Responsibilities Maintain branch office equipment and supplies to ensure efficient operation. Assist in balancing the ATM and Night Depository as directed by the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Knowledge & Skills The Associate must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below, apply them consistently, and adapt to changing policies and procedures. Experience and Other Requirements One to three years of similar or related experience. Completion of Lending Class, New Accounts training, and Teller training through the KFCU Training Department. Ability to operate computer terminal, printer, calculator, fax machine, copier, telephone, fax machine, currency counter, and copier with accuracy. Outgoing personality, helpful member service attitude, and ability to sell credit union products. Strong basic math skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to understand and implement changing policies and procedures. Knowledge of teller transactions relevant to the position. Maintain confidentiality and dependability. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential. The job involves frequent personal contact with individuals inside and outside the organization to build relationships and solicit cooperation. Computer Skills Extensive use of personal PC required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, internet browsing, and e‑mail. Ability to navigate the internet to search for data and complete online forms. Some knowledge of emerging computer technology, such as mobile devices, imaging technology, and social media. Familiarity with home banking and bill‑pay services. Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Actively complete The Member Advantage (TMA) training within nine months of employment. Actively complete TMA Annual Accelerator training classes. Physical Demands Employee regularly required to sit, stand, walk; use hands to handle, feel, or grasp. Frequently required to kneel, crouch, or stoop. Occasionally required to lift and/or move 25‑50 pounds. Work Environment The work requires extensive desktop computer use in a normal office environment with desk‑level noise.
