- Perform preoperative patient assessments including medical history review, informed consent, and monitoring plan coordination with the surgical team and remote interpreting physician.
- Measure and apply recording electrodes; set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot neuromonitoring equipment for each procedure.
- Provide continuous real-time intraoperative monitoring using SSEPs, MEPs, EMG, EEG, BAEPs, and other modalities as indicated.
- Analyze and interpret electrophysiological waveforms, recognizing normal patterns, variants, and abnormalities while accounting for anesthetic and pharmacological influences.
- Communicate monitoring findings in real-time to the interpreting physician and surgical team throughout each procedure.
- Complete post-operative technical reports, IONM logs, and billing documentation following case completion.
- Maintain equipment in proper working order, following cleaning, storage, and transportation protocols.
- Participate in on-call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with surgeons and OR staff at assigned facilities.
- Participate in quality assurance projects, quarterly case audits, grand rounds, and continuing education activities.

- Active CNIM Certification.
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience (as defined by ABRET for CNIM eligibility)
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neuroanatomy, pathologic processes, and aseptic techniques.
- Proficiency with IONM equipment and ability to acquire and analyze data across multiple IONM modalities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and OR staff.
- Full-time position with variable weekly schedule based on surgical caseload.
- Work is performed in the operating room environment; requires prolonged focus, standing, the ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 lbs, and Manual dexterity for applying electrodes and operating equipment.
- Rotating on-call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Local staff serving local facilities in the Dayton, OH region with minimal travel requirements.
