Position Title Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coverage – Elizabeth, NJ Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $20.75 / Hour Job Schedule Saturday: 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM Sunday: 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security‑related issues to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and assigned areas to help deter unauthorized access, support visitor and/or driver processing, and follow site‑specific post orders. Communicate with site personnel, drivers, and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, incidents, and/or operational concerns that may require follow‑up. Minimum Requirements A minimum of 2 years of security‑related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
