Firehouse Subs is a fast and casual restaurant with over 1700 locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Mexico. We serve Subs, Salads, Soup, Chips, Chili, Cookies and Brownies. Our meat is sliced fresh every day from whole muscle meats. Many of our shifts are part time with hours in the morning and evening. We start arriving at 8:00 A.M. and open at 10:00 A.M. closing at 9:00 P.M. There is generally 6 to 8 employees working each shift. We cross train all of our employees so there is a chance to learn the other sandwich making positions as well allowing you to earn more hours each day.

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT :

This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a Firehouse Subs® Restaurant while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure the restaurant is in full compliance to all local, state and federal regulations to include health regulations, hour and wage regulations, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA and any other appropriate regulations required for the legal operation of the business.
• Ensure knowledge, adherence and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs® Policies and Procedures.
• Providing leadership to the restaurant team to consistently meet standards of superior guest service, quality and cleanliness while embracing the Firehouse Subs® “culture” of a cheerful and fun work environment and Firehouse Subs® beliefs and values to adhere to and grow the mission and vision.
• Ensures the profitability of business by operating within established guidelines and requirements for food cost, labor, controllable, utilities and sales growth.
• Coordinate and implement current operations game plans and company initiatives in a profitable and timely manner.
• Accountable for the proper staffing of the restaurant with qualified personnel and employees who are trained and developed properly.
• Accountable for the continuous training and development of the restaurant Assistant Manager and Shift Managers
• Actively participates in Local Restaurant Marketing in local trade area.
• Implements and promotes all Public Safety Foundation initiatives.
• Ensure all required programs, reports and legal documents are accurate, complete and accomplished on schedule.
• Maintains awareness and participation in community affairs to take advantage of sales and public relations opportunities.
• Represents Firehouse Subs® in a professional, positive manner at all times.
• Communicates effectively to the GM/Owner any and all issues that may impact our business.
• Maintains restaurant equipment in full working order and communicates problems immediately to Owner.
• Able to work on their feet for up to 13 hours at a time.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Any other duties assigned by the Owner.

Managers are required to maintain a minimum availability of 40 hours per week . This means Managers must be available to work at least 40 hours each week; however, the Company does not guarantee that 40 hours will be scheduled. Actual hours worked may be more or less depending on business needs.

Managers may be scheduled for more than 40 hours per week when workload, staffing levels, or operational demands require it. Overtime will be paid in accordance with federal and state law.

Managers must also be available to work weekends and holidays , except for the Company’s designated closed holidays (Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day). Availability for a mix of opening, mid‑shift, and closing shifts is required.

Maintaining this level of availability is a condition of employment for all Managers.

This position offers an hourly wage. The pay range provided is an estimate based on the hourly rate paid during a standard 40-hour workweek.

It’s important to note that General Managers are not eligible to participate in the Tip Sharing program due to federal and local legal restrictions.

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
