Dental Hygienist

The role of the Dental Hygienist is to work as a member of the multi-disciplinary oral health care team with responsibility for managing dental hygiene and treatment of periodontal disease under the direction of a dentist.

Our ideal candidate for our Dental Hygienist position will have completed an accredited dental hygiene program and is currently a licensed as a dental hygienist in the state of Colorado. Licensure for dental hygienist local anesthesia in the state of Colorado. They will also have previous work experience in a medical or dental clinic.

Required Skills:

• Considerable knowledge and skill obtained through experience and/or training to be able to provide appropriate care to all clinic patients.
• Advanced knowledge of dental record keeping practices including documentation in an electronic health/dental record.
• Ability to exercise considerable judgment, to recognize problems outside of this role and refer appropriately.
• Knowledge of dental and medical terminology.
• Physical capability to interact with others and perform mobility requirements of the position.
• Knowledge and ability to operate standard office equipment including scanner, computer, calculator, copy machine, fax, and multi-line telephone.
• Working knowledge of Windows based computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and ability to access the internet.
• Ability to be helpful and sensitive to the needs of all employees, while concurrently respecting corporate policies, procedures, and priorities.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers.
• Ability to communicate job-related information to individuals and small groups.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; plan own work schedule effectively and multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

Salary: $45.69 ($43.19 base + $2.50 locale + $45.69) - $48.28 per hour and considers preferred experience and preferred education.
